On the evening of the fourth day, the Annecy Classic Festival continued to enchant its audiences, this time with a programme of chamber music from the Castle Museum.

But in the meantime, the attention of residents strolling the streets and canals, and of those on their way to the Castle Museum passing by the ancient Church of St. Francis de Sales, were captured and enthralled by the sounds of children singing in the Festival’s Vocal Workshop, preparing with choir director Patrick Marco for their own concert performance.

At the Castle Museum, the Zaïde String Quartet from France played quartets by Janáček and Mozart, then to be joined by the Italian pianist Beatrice Rana (silver medallist at the XIV Van Cliburn International Piano Competition) for Schumann’s Piano Quintet, Op. 44. The entire programme was marked by impeccable phrasing, sensitivity and warmth.
