Mikhail Khohlov, Director of the Gnessin Moscow Special Music School, formed the Gnessin Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra in 1990 for the College’s 13-16 year old students. Performing at international music events, Russian and foreign critics are full of praise for the orchestra’s professionalism and the impressively broad repertoire — from baroque to ultramodern — for such young performers!
