Looking back on Festival’s history, we see that Annecy Classic is a revival of ‘musical seasons’, created more than forty years ago by the well-known French pianist Eliane Richepin and subsequently transferred under control of the festival director Pascal Escande. However, at the same time, this new event has transcended the borders of France and has become truly international.

Musicians from Russia, France, Switzerland, China, Korea, Japan, Georgia, Austria and other countries come to Annecy to talk one common and clear language, the language of music.
