This exciting and colourful concert was an invitation to a journey, led by Yuri Temirkanov, Denis Matsuev and the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, through Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and the Symphonic Dances. Sergei Rachmaninoff immersed Annecy into his innermost Slavic soul, Russian to the core, undiminished by his long years spent in the USA.
